Tuesday

It's not a quilt until it's quilted.....
Right?
It's been while since I've quilted anything bigger than a baby sized quilt....
and.....
It showed!
I need to get my quilting MoJo back!!!
There were a few "Oops!" moments as I quilted this one!
QUITE a few!
;)

That stash sure comes in handy though!
The back is pieced from some of my flowery fabrics.
Now it's
Done. done. done.
Woo Hoo!
Off to the post office VERY soon!
I'll be mailing this to Victoria for her BASICS quilt donation drive.

Thought I'd share with you our dinner last night.
ALL thanks to blogland!
I picked this recipe up last summer from Carla.
It's a WINNER!!!

But you know ME!
I don't follow directions very well.
This quiche is LOADED with tomatoes!
The recipe calls for a few cherry tomatoes.
These are the kind of tomatoes we've got at MY house!!!....
So that's what I used!
AND
I used a LOT!
The other change was recommended by Carla.
Switch the broccoli for Zucchini...
Because....
YOU KNOW....
That's what's coming out of our ears!!!

And guess what????

We're all fighting over the last piece!
;)

  1. It's a wonderful quilt and the quiche looks pretty good too. I only planted tomatoes this year. Oh, except for the cayenne & cilantro. Salsa you know.

  3. Happy for your new finish. Love the quiche - meant for adding whats in the fridge at the time.

  4. I love a quiche made out of whatever's in the fridge and in the garden that needs using up. Heck, with enough garlic and parmesan almost any old thing will work. Love the quilt - especially the blocks on point at the top and bottom - that's a really nice touch.

  5. I love the quilt--there's nothing quite like a FINISHED quilt.

The quiche looks yummy. Last weekend I bought veggies at the farmers market with the intent to make ratatouile ... now I'm thinking that all those veggies (and some black olives) would be great in a quiche. Maybe when it finally cools down around here and turning on the oven seems like a good idea. Right now, it heats up the apartment too much.
