Monday Making

I am currently sewing half square triangles.
NON-STOP!
:)

There is a happy BUZZ in the sewing room
as the quilt grows and grows!!!

This quilt contains SO many ugly fabrics.
Look close and you'll spy them.
but...
It is SO FUN to see them MINGLE
in this quilt
and become something
BEAUTIFUL!!!

Each half square triangle block is 3 1/2".
I am using a NEW to ME tool
called - EASY ANGLE.
It seems to save time and FABRIC!
Yeah!

What are YOU making this week??

  1. Where have you been, girl? Easy Angle (and all it's counterparts by Omnigrid and Creative Grids) are the way to go. When fabric is going for $13/yd in quilt shops, why throw any of it out, even sliver trims.

  5. I've always heard that if you think you have ugly fabric you haven't cut it small enough. Looking at your quilt, it's looking quite nice so I guess you cut it just the right size. Thanks for the party.

  6. You are making definite progress on your quilt. But, oh, 3.5" is a really small size if you are making a big quilt! Keep going.

  9. Looking good! Those dark fabrics create the contrast that draws the eye, so no ugly fabrics stand out. Very pleasing layout.

  12. Looking good! With so much variety, no one fabric - ugly or not - stands out. The whole is definitely greater than the sum of its parts.

  15. Isn't it fun how our uglies get lost in such a playful pattern. I have an "ugly" that you've inspired me to use! Thank you for sharing!
